Woolly Goodies

I had a lovely weekend and hope that you all did too!

On Saturday morning the postie arrived with a lovely little parcel of woolly goodies from this lovely web site called Rowan Up Country. They have the most brilliant woolly shade cards and I had decided to order a couple of them for future planning of more woolly projects and future purchases of more lovely woolly packages.

I also treated myself to two more balls of the Rowan Pure DK Wool in Pier to complete the back of my colourful cushion cover which I made a start on last night.

I have got a very busy week ahead as I am doing a few extra shifts in the Library to cover for holidays and I have also got to get organised as we are going away for a few days holiday next weekend. Unfortunately I can see very little time for crochet and a lot of time being spent on washing, ironing and organising :O)

MMMmmmmmm I am not sure that I like the sound of housework over crochet.... will you get time to hook on holiday?

I could really do with some of those colour cards...

lovely colours! love that blue. Boo hiss over the housework and no fun crafting. That can be the trouble with going on holiday all the crazyness organising before hand.

Hope you get time to enjoy some hooky pleasure on your break away.

I hope you have a great time away and that you do get some time to crochet. That colour chart is amazing! How on earth do you decide? I love the idea of the single colour granny on the back of the cushion. Enjoy love Kate

Those colours are fantastic!

I think you're probably right about Dynamic Earth - I mentioned to my mum that it seemed aimed at 8-11 year olds, and she confirmed that it was that age of school class which regularly goes there for educational trips. Younger children could get something from it but if you're only going to go once, then the 8-11 bracket would be best, I think.

Keep meaning to order the Rowan Cotton DK one as they've changed the shades since I last bought yarn for my hex blanket and I am thinking of doing a cotton ripple blanket when BB is finished...
