At last......

I have actually managed to finish knitting my Fingerless Mittens - they seem to have been on the needles for ages!

After a bit of a bad start - and one practise mitt later - I finally managed to get the hang of knitting with DPNs. I found that the hardest part is actually getting the first few rows done, once I got past that I found it fairly easy to do.

I don't think that they are too bad for a first attempt! :O)

Well done you! My grandmother started knitting a pair of gloves back in the 70's .... she has only the left hand one to complete now! lol knitting is not her forte Sarah x

they look great and the cables have turned out well. I agree the first few rows are tricky, but once they get going it gets easier. Are we going to see some socks next?? You know me and socks!

Esther - I probably will try socks and thought that I would try your pattern for baby socks and see how I get on :O)

haha! Good luck - I'm not great at writing down patterns so if you get stuck just ask :o)
